God loves beautiful things

This blog is inspired by the most recent episode of What’s God Doing!

Have you ever felt like you were standing in a scene from a movie?

Sometimes things feel so unbelievable that it feels like you are on the set of a movie. I had a moment like this, and it is one of my favorite stories to tell from my outreach.

My team was prayer walking on college campuses in Boston when we took a few minutes to worship in a local park. As we were worshiping, I noticed some people dancing in the distance; I was really enjoying watching them dance.

I suddenly realized they were coming closer. In fact, they came right to us and began to dance to our music.

Suddenly it began to snow. It was beautiful! It was as if God was enjoying everything as much as we were.  After we finished, we explained what we were doing and asked if we could pray for them. We formed a circle and prayed together.

They shared with us that they were dance instructors, and had taken a few hours away from teaching to come back to their love of dancing. When they heard our music, they simply wanted to come enjoy it. Isn’t it cool how God draws people to himself, even when they don’t realize what is happening?

It just goes to show that God is the ultimate storyteller and He to loves beautiful things. God is the ultimate creator, and what He creates is amazing.  I want to challenge you to pay attention to the little things in God’s creation and in everyday life; see if you can catch a glimpse of something you would not have normally noticed. In the comments, please share these moments with me; I would love to hear them!

  1. Very good testimony! Really a miracle that the entire Muslim family prayed to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior! We are very proud of Thijs and that team!

Thank you for sending them out to share the gospel around the world. What a privilege to change the eternal destiny of people through young people like this!
