God created us with unique passions and interests. The SFDTS creates a space for those who enjoy sports and fitness to come together and serve Christ in unity. When you come, you will receive practical missions training so we can effectively share your faith wherever God calls you.
Our community values development a culture of daily relying on the Holy Spirit, development of personal character, and an imparting of God’s love love for the Nations. You will why God made you so special and how to identify your unique individual gifts and callings in God.
The DTS is broken up in two parts: Lecture Phase and Outreach Phase. Lecture Phase consists of 12 -14 weeks of learning who God has made us to be and what He wants to do through us in the earth! Students will have the opportunity to hear from seasoned missionaries and international Christian eaders each week who are currently being used by God in the nations. Outreach Phase is 8-12 weeks where we will go into the nations to make Jesus famous. Students will have the opportunity to take what they have learned and apply it in the mission field. This year, teams will be going to Japan, Philippines, Kenya, Tanzania, and the Inner cities of America. Our outreach includes evangelism, working with at-risk children, mercy and justice ministries, construction, sports and general service. YWAM-SFDTS includes the biblical foundation, philosophies and blessings that are associated with the development and on-going maintenance of moderate to high level physical fitness.
