Full of flowering dogwoods, huge oak trees, towering tulip poplars, and beautiful stone staircases our beautiful 12-acre campus provides the convenience of the city with the serenity of the countryside. In fact, if you come out early enough you may our gray owl, or wild turkeys roaming the lawn!
Getting to YWAM Virginia
YWAM Virginia’s campus is located at Richmond’s East End in the historic Fulton Hill neighborhood. While we are an urban campus, our offices, classrooms & housing are nestled on a hillside surrounded by 8 acres of trees, just a few minutes’ drive from the downtown hub of our city.

Turn by Turn Directions to Fulton Hill Campus & Richmond Ropes
I-64 East Driving toward Richmond from Charlottesville
From I-64 Heading East (or from the West End), get on I-95 South and exit on Franklin St. (Exit 74B). At the second traffic light turn Left onto Main Street. Go through 4 traffic lights. The road has a sharp right turn just past Poe’s Pub. Get in the Left lane turn left at the traffic light onto Williamsburg Avenue. Cross railroad tracks. Follow Williamsburg Avenue to the Fulton Hill neighborhood. The road takes a sharp Left and turns from a 4-lane road to a 2- lane road and changes name to Williamsburg Road. Go past the fire station on the Left. Turn Left onto Waverly Avenue. Turn Right into the last driveway to get to the Studio.
I-64 West Driving Toward Richmond from Williamsburg
From I-64 Heading West, exit onto Laburnum, going South. Make a right onto Williamsburg Rd. At the 3rd light, begin counting streets on the right. Make a right onto Waverly Ave. (the 4th Right). Turn Right into the last driveway to get to the Studio.
I-95 North Driving toward Richmond from Petersburg
From I-95 Heading North take the E. Broad St. Exit 74C. At the light make a Left on Broad St. Follow Broad St. until you see Chimborazo Park on your right. At the end of the park, the road curves down to the right, then to the left as you go down a hill. This road changes into Government Rd. Stay on Government Rd. until you go over some railroad tracks and pass a wooded area on your right. You will then come to a Chinese Restaurant on your right. Turn Right onto Carlisle Avenue. Stay on Carlisle for 3 blocks until you come to a ‘T’ intersection. Turn Right on to Waverly Ave. Take Waverly down to the dead end. The Campus is on your right.
I-95 South Driving Toward Richmond from Washington D.C.
From I-95 heading South take the Franklin Street Exit, 74B. At the second traffic light turn Left onto Main Street. Go through 4 traffic lights. The road has a sharp right turn just past Poe’s Pub.
